Once again Max has been spotted near the Chabrouh Dam. On his Mountain Bike this time, exploring and measuring the numerous trails there. He took a few pictures with his iPhone... I am positive that he is planning for a new event there. The first time he was in that region (post of May 2nd 2008), the Dam wasn’t yet full, but now that it is, the call of the pure fresh water was stronger than reason. So Max went for a 20-minute swim across the 1300m-long body of water. He described it as “a magical experience”... Looking up to breathe, and seeing the surrounding arid sun-drenched mountains was truly exhilarating... An unforgettable sensation...

 First sight of the water from the trail to its North. The GPS reads 1730m of altitude.   You can almost hear the call of the crystal-clear water
 A Mountain Bike dwarfed by the 63m high Dam. It's almost like a small Pyramid…
 A flock of sheep quenching their thirst from a well in the Jord. Altitude: 1955m, courtesy of WTC Suunto Advisor.  The Chabrouh Dam has a storage capacity of some 8 million cubic meters of water, and was filled to capacity on its inaugural year - 2008
 From a surrounding hill, looking South. The village above the Dam and slightly to the left is Oyoun es Simane where the Ski resort starts, and above that slightly more to the left is the top of the Mzaar ski lift at 2480m a.s.l.
 Agricultural lands stretch far below the Chabrouh Dam .The water from it irrigate these fertile grounds, and provide an essential commodity to thousands of homes below.
