today we crossed the 82nd Degree South!!!
that puts us at 20% of our Journey, or 120 Nautical Miles... 8 degrees to go.
2nd Degree Party - A Team is Born
Yesterday we crossed 82 degrees, as you can see we're all in a tent - all five of us - excellent mood. The weather was the best ever, we did have some wind but very very light - the sun and the sastrugi were great.
As you can see from the photo below, The Team is very very well bonded - we're working together as a Team towards our Common Goal, the South Pole.
We are no longer individuals on the ice, each battling the indefatigable forces of nature on his/her own, but rather a living, breathing entity that is more than the sum of our individual selves. Our Unity is Our Strength. --Max
